Six more questions (and answers) about the government shutdown

Consequences, and finger-pointing, will start to pile up quickly

Last Friday, I shared a Q&A I had with

about the impending government shutdown; well, the shutdown is now upon us, and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere. So I teamed up with The Conversation again (this time joined by Politics & Society Editor Alfonso Serrano) to answer a few more questions about the political dynamics around the shutdown, and what we might expect in the coming days and (God forbid) weeks. If video isn’t your thing, you can read the lightly edited text version of the interview right here on TheConversation.com.

You Are Here is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

And if, for whatever sick reason, you’d like to see even more of me talking about the shutdown, you can also check out these news hits I’ve done over the past 24 hours.

Thanks for watching, and see y’all next Tuesday!
